Privacy policy
Last updated 28 August 2026.
This page explains what Wardogs League Europe (WDLEU) collects about you, why, and what control you have over it. It covers the public site and the admin backend alike.
Signing in
The only way to sign in is with Discord. We request the identify scope only — nothing broader. From that, we receive and store your Discord ID, username, and avatar. We do not request or store your email address, and we never see your Discord password.
We keep the OAuth tokens Discord issues for your session so you can stay signed in without re-authenticating on every visit. These are stored server-side and are never exposed to the browser or to other users.
Cookies
We set exactly one cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and, once WDLEU is live on its own domain, keeps you signed in across both the public site and the admin backend. It's strictly necessary for the site to function — we don't use advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies of any kind, so there's nothing to opt in or out of.
What else we store
Depending on how you use the platform, we also store:
- Team membership and leadership roles you hold.
- Match challenges, match requests, and results you submit, including any evidence files (screenshots/clips) you upload to support a result or a dispute.
- An audit trail of moderation-relevant actions taken on the platform — who did what, and when — used to keep league operations accountable and to investigate disputes.
We don't collect payment information — the platform doesn't process payments.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or trade your data. Discord is the only third party involved, and only because sign-in runs through it. The platform runs on infrastructure we control directly; we don't use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
How long we keep it
Account, team, and match data is kept for as long as your account exists, since it's part of the league's competitive record. Audit log entries are kept indefinitely for accountability. If you'd like your account data removed, contact us (below) and we'll action it — competitive records tied to completed matches (e.g. confirmed results) may be retained in anonymised form so league history and standings stay accurate.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and associated data, at any time — see Contact below. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, these are your rights under GDPR/UK GDPR; we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Age
WDLEU isn't intended for anyone below the age at which your country allows you to consent to this kind of data processing on your own (typically 13–16, depending on where you live). If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
